I quit.

I had it. I do NOT like to be hounded the entire time I'm at work nor criticized for things that weren't my fault. My boss followed me around the entire time I worked and would blame me for mistakes (like if someone else wrote a price on a ticket I wrote and got the price wrong) then keep bringing them up all the time after I heard her the first time.

There was even a customer who was like "No broccoli" So I said no broccoli which just left carrots. And he called back and yelled at me for the dish having vegetables along with his fried rice. Then My boss yelled at me "D; you have to think about that, if they say no broccoli then ask if they want vegetables!" And its like, no one else does that. And then she got on my case the NEXT MORNING about it.

No more bull. I'm sick of feeling like everything I do is either a mistake or wrong since she doesn't stop watching/ following me. Now I understand slight watching or following here and there but all day?! Its really enough.

I've actually tried to quit before but she talked her way around it and the person picking me up just went "she'll be here tomorrow" instead of supporting me. Yesterday though, the person picking me up was all for me quitting so when I said my boss was rather upset that I wanted to quit and leave she said "tough, you told her you quit."

And so starts me looking for a better job where I'm not hounded every day for things that don't matter.

NO BROCCOLI is supposed to automatically mean NO VEGETABLES? Hmm, okay. I don't blame you for leaving. In this job market, though, I hope you are able to quickly get a new job.

There are jobs to be found out there if you are looking. Not sure what you are interested in. As long as you put your nose to the grind anything is possible. Remember not everyone is cut out to wait on tables. There are still a lot of Seasonal, Summer, Retail, Temp Services out there to get you threw till you find your niche. I believe you might of mention something about the Health Care Field at one time. I certainly hope that this one downer doesn't hold you down too long. Bounce up girl and show yourself and the world...Hugs to you !!!!!

I have had bosses in the past do that same to me. But I've learned over time that I would rather they follow me. Let me explain, I decided that I can't control what my boss is going to do. So, if they are going to watch every move I make, then I ask alot of questions. I mean alot. Then they feel like they are training you the way they want. So if something comes up, then you can go to your boss and say "Well you told me.....". See were I'm going with this. Then they can't get mad at you, they told you wrong. It works everytime. They won't be following you around for to long after that. It's not that you can't do the job right, it's just doing it the way they want it done. Every place of business has their own way of doing things, even if you've done a job like this a million times. They want it done their way, not someone else's way. Hope this helps, and keep your chin up.
