Icey Weather

Well here we go again. Ice and more ice here in Missouri. I really hate ice, and driving on it. We had a bad ice storm two years ago, and was withour power for 2 weeks. It's not looking to good this time either. Sure hope we don't go through that again. At least we have a fireplace this time. Can keep warm and cook on it if need be. They didn't let school out early enough, so alot of buses on the ditches here, it's a real mess. Hope this ends soon.

Ice is not fun at all. I take it due to being a more southern state its harder to get ice and and snow out of the way than if you lived in a northern state? I HATE when they make students stay in school for a prolonged time even if the driving is only going to get worse around the time they're let out. No one usually can focus and its just a bigger hassle for everyone in the end. Buses in ditches!? Geez, that does NOT sound like a thing any parent would want to hear, especially if their child takes the bus.

Well an up date on things. The last bus droped off kids around 6 pm last night. It's a mess here, but at least all the childern got home. My two where a little coming home too. We aren't used to this kind of weather. Because we are more south than most places that get this kind of stuff, it seems we aren't as prepared as most would be. But if we keep getting ice like this every year, we will learn. Supposed to get sleet and ice the rest of the day and into the night. Looks like no school for tomorrow either. I do have to admit though, it sure is a pretty site outside, but very danerous too. Hope everyone is doing okay and keeping warm.

HI tsgal: from San Antonio . . . . . . South way South. . . and we are expecting our 1st freeze for this winter tonight and tomorrow morning. . .2008 year we had none. So I really want the freeze but hopefully everything and everyone is SAFE! Cuddle around and watch AI - American Idol. Glad your family is safe and okay.

The ice stopped come down, thank goodness. Got alot of snow on top of it. Yuck!!! It's cold here, but the fireplace helps to keep warm. Most of my family lost power yesterday, they are about 30 miles south of me. Can't get ahold of most of them, hope they are okay. My brother called me last night to let me know that they got their power back on. If any of you out there are going through this I hope all is going well and your keeping warm. Your in my prayers.

Thanks icdummy77, hopefully you'll get the freeze you are looking for in your area. Having a good hard freeze does help.
