Even MORE cookie baking

I have the dough for my chocolate thumb prints and my pinwheels in the fridge. I am also making snickerdoodles and a very basic cookie called a jumble today. That should get me over my 436 cookie goal. If not, more shortbread cookies will get me there.

When all is said and done, will you be able to even eat a cookie? Don't know that I could!

    Possibly NEVER again. ugh.

    I am soooo tired.

I have divinity going right now. I am having to make more batches than I thought because my batches aren't churning out enough in numbers.

    Here's what's done...

    chocolate chip
    nut crescents
    chocolate thumb prints

    divinity's going...
    shortbread coming up...
maybe some banana cookies, too. we'll see.

Almost there!!! Only about 25 more bags to do up.

JoAnn, I've never even considered doing anything like this before, but this is something I'd like to do every year from now on. Despite all the hard work, the end result is SO worth it.

Doh--You have inspired me as well for next year. Hope you have kept notes, recipes and pictures for next year.
I was sitting here thinking about Valentines Day and doing something like this. The nut balls take well to colored dough (could use red which --would make them pink). And then make cut out cookies (heart shape). Everything will be on clearence, after the Holidays too. Bags , ribbons, colored sugars and candies.
The local Senior Center--works with a soup kitchen. And they would be happy to get something like this..

I live in a Senior Center. This year they passed out (only to the residents who eat lunch in the dining room) a bag with an apple, an orange and 5 pieces of peppermint. Homemade cookies would have been very good but the fresh fruit is welcome too. I can tell you, for a fact, things like this ARE appreciated. Thank you for all your hard work.

Well, the cookies are delivered. I got a warm hug from the woman who runs the kitchen and we had a lovely conversation. I am exhausted and think a nap is in order this afternoon.
