I made bagels this evening!!!

I used Liss's step-by-step directions and they're cooling a bit before I bag them up for the morning.
Liss's directions were super handy. I especially appreciated the pictures that let me know my batch looked right at each stage.
I had to use more flour than directed, and ended up re-kneeding in my kitchen aid mixer because the dough was too gluey at first. It's a really wet day here (wet snowing outside) so that probably dictated the extra flour.
I ALWAYS have to let things rise nearly double the recommended time, no matter what the conditions. Not sure why. But anyway, 40 minutes of rest time made for perfectly sized bagels.
Other than that, the bagels were easy (!! yes !! easy !!) to make and I hope they are delish in the morning!
Tomorrow I'm tackling crock pot yogurt. Wish me luck!
