My new dog is at the vet right now, having a tooth extracted and being neutured. Vets are not a frugal place, lemme tell you. I managed to bring the price of the tooth extraction down by about a hundred bucks once I took much of the fluff out. But wow! They really stick it to you, don't they?

Oh well. At least Diego is in good hands. I pick him up tonight sometime.

The wind is howling outside. It might snow.

I am off to fill my grocery list, which will cost me under $50 total. That's pretty darn frugal. lol

No vets are not frugal, but like a regular doctor sometimes you have no choice in the matter . Grocery's for $50-how long will this last? Just curious, a weeks worth of food or a whole month? I am really trying to bring the cost of grocery's down, can if I am the only one who goes shopping.

Stay warm, enjoy the snow if it comes.

$50 would have lasted us two weeks, but only because we have a well-stocked pantry and freezer already.

I ended up spending $80. Forgot about my daughter's birthday cupcakes for 48 children at church, so had to add that cost in (homemade, of course, but still added expense) plus ended up buying a couple extra things: a large bag of apples for $4-something, and a couple boxes of generic fruit snacks as a treat for the girls, plus a gallon of "real" milk because I want the bottle for other uses.

Still that isn't too bad, always seems to be extras that you end up getting because of an unexpected sale. That is still great only 80 for two weeks. I have got to start cooking scratch more

Going to the vet always gives me a panic attack, too much $$$ and you never know what the exact cost will be, hope Diego recovers well!
