or longer depending on how you read.
Lucky is baby #6 of a blended family. Mom (that would be me) has 4 others, dad has 1. Blended families are such a joy (if you are a stepparent you will be rolling your eyes and say I must be blind, okay... you are so right). With this blended family comes a big age gap, between Lucky and his youngest sister, is 11 years.
Since Lucky was born I have been doing what is called elimination communication with him. You may have heard it called infant potty training or other various phrases. For the sake of me, I am going to call it ec. Ec simply put is learning your child's cues on when they are going to eliminate. Not so simply put it can be full of misses and wet laps and carpet.
With that said. When Lucky was little and nursing, I would hold him onto a bucket. He would then eliminate into that, and I would cue him with a simple pssss. He learned to apply that pssss with the feeling of going. Lucky is my third child to be ec'ed. He is also by far the most stubborn. The first I started at 9 months and he took a week. The second started from birth and at 5 months she wore panties and stayed dry for the most part. Lucky has had some streaks in him, and some reflux problems that have brought us to a stand still. So this week has been a full on, back to it.
Lucky will use his potty chair to eliminate in. But he will also pee on anything within pee range... or he will climb off the potty and pee next to it. I'm not discouraged. Now that its getting warm he can play outside more too. Less mess for me to clean up
