Halloween is just around the corner and every inch of my house is decorated with fall flowers, creepy portraits, gothic candleholders, witchy items and things that go bump in the night. The boys, now teens, can't really dress up for trick or treating any more. *sigh*

I really loved sitting on the tailgate of the truck with them "cruising" at 2 mph singing "One eyed, one horn, flying purple people eater" at the top of our lungs as we rode around the neighborhood.

While we could host a party, of sorts, most of their friends are going through the "I don't want to get dressed up for Halloween" stage. When did kids forget how to be "kids"? I don't want to spend the next 2 weeks decorating the garage to the hilt, transforming it into a mansion of eeeeeeeeevvvvvvillllll if the beasts within it don't want to dress up.

So now I'm wondering, what Should we do for Halloween this year? I'd love to hear what your plans are!

You have such creative ideas, did you think about opening the garage to a haunted house? Mine still like to dress up, however they take off with their friends and I eventually get a text that I am "allowed" to come pick them up. Of course the youngest is 10 so he doesn't mind mom and dad tagging along.

My oldest has younger siblings, so he still dresses up cause he is "humoring" his brothers and sister.
