Argh. I'm starting to hate cross-stitch. I'm making Large minis for a friend (for anyone who doesn't play D&D I'm making 2" square designs which are numbered 1-10 for them to use on the maps for miniature battles - reading that it doesn't help explain a lot. oh well, maybe there's another gamer lurking somewhere that can do better). So I'm finishing #4 of 10, realizing not only do I have to stitch 5-10 still but make the patterns (i'm doing my own because there are NO Celtic cross-stitch border patterns that I like.) - too far in to throw it away and the end no where in sight. On top of the crochet presents I need to get done. I don't want to see thread again for months after this.
No, I do I do like doing this just frustrated right now. I've had to pick apart the same section 4 times in a row, I keep getting lost on my stupid pattern. It's being burned after this (Yea! A special holiday treat for me - fire starter for the fire place)

I still can't do my simple tasks I set for myself - I either seem to do one or the other each morning. You wouldn't think that this would be that hard, but the snooze button is so tempting. I've even put the alarm clock on the other side of the room. I crawl out of bed hit the darn button, and crawl back in bed for another 10 minutes - about 5 times in a row....
I need to know where to find willpower

I know what you mean. I am making Christmas presents, having to get three kids ready for school, bake things for their lunches (and my Husband) plus I work night shifts and have an extra job to help make ends meet. Just take a deep breath and think how happy people will be when they receive a unburnt present from you that you made for them. And if that doesn't work, I have some extra fire starter things also!!!

Nah the presents aren't burnt just the patterns once I'm finished with them

I tend to keep my patterns and think (about a year later) that wasn't that bad. Mind you, I haven't repeated another one again that drove me crazy!!!!
