Small update

So I'm looking for a second job. I can't live off my current salary let alone try to pay bills or even try to be stable. Even with the help of this site its just waaaaay too little money to live off (less than 200 every 2 weeks)

So I've been applying here and there, researching obscure jobs and seeing what I can come up with. Anyways. Working hard and having barely anytime to celebrate the holidays (I've been working them even though I'm not getting any holiday pay*) Better busy than bored though!

Hopefully something will come through soon. Until next update

I hope you find something soon! My son is in the same boat. by the time he pays rent he has $30 left to live on for the rest of the month. He has tried for 2 months to find a part time job and so far no luck. So hard to live on the edge.

Off the top of my head, here are few ideas...

You could advertise in the local paper to provide childcare, or pet-sitting, pet-walking services. These are things that you can often fit around your regular work schedule. I know that folks around here advertise on Craigslist, but that depends on your comfort level.

Can you Bartend?? There is ALWAYS call for Bartenders particularly in lousy economic times. Most local community colleges offer a Bartending class (which is usually very very short term & Inexpensive) and teaches you basic mixology, common drinks, etc. It also gives you a certificate that you can present to your potential employer (which incidentally makes Their Insurance rates go DOWN). I always made REALLY good money when bartending and it's always a night job, so you have days for school/friends/etc.

I hope something good comes your way soon . . .
