I've been busy working up the rest of the free red plums we got last week. Making plum butter until I'm sick of it! Hubby went out to do this weeks mowing. He started up the big tractor and switched on the mower deck without even thinking and my favorite cat was under it. Started out last year with 8 of them and now down to 2. Coyotes got 5 of them last winter and now poor Cali coco got chopped up in the mower blades. I'm sure going to miss her. Poor hubby feels awful but we keep telling him it wasn't his fault just an accident so he finally took off to go do the mowing. It'll take us awhile to get over her loss. Accidents happen and life goes on. I am so sick of red plums! Sure glad my family loved the plum butter and plum jam though! Couldn't afford to buy peaches this year from the Amish so this is the jam they'll have this winter.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I know what it feels like to lose a much loved pet. I still think about Scruffy a lot. She was a little black Schnauzer and died of old age. She was very smart and lived a long life (15 years). That doesn't make it any easier to lose her. Just hold on to the sweet memories and go forward.

Ohhhh no! That is soooo sad. I am so sorry. Animals are the best. We have three dogs, and I cherish every single one of them. I am so sorry

Bless your heart, I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I've actually done that before. Didn't know it was under the blades and then that was that. I felt so bad for a long time after that. So I can imagine how your hubby must have felt. Coyotes are really bad here too, we lost a puppy to them. She just dissappeared never to be seen again. So we were thinking that was what happen to her. Hang in there, you can get another kitty to love. And of course they are always different.

So sorry to hear about Cali coco. Bet your DH feels horrible. Not his fault but that guilt still has to be there. I would be sick of the plums by now also, at least you will have a stocked pantry from it
