Organizing your desk or office can be a hassle, but here’s how to repurpose a cardboard box into a decorative desk organizer!
Materials:
Cardboard
Wrapping paper or light fabric
Glue (Hot glue!)
Scissors
Ruler
If you want to keep the same dimensions as the one pictured cut out the following size pieces:
Base & Back 12″ x 7″
sides 7″ x 7″
front 12″ x 2.5″
Large dividers 12″ x 4″
small dividers 12″ x 3″
Cut out the cardboard templates. (We’ve used cm in the photographs, but I converted it to inches for you above!)
Cut out the back, then the sides, the front and the dividers.
Next, using the cardboard template, cut out your fabric (or wrapping paper, etc). You’ll need to make those cuts just a tad bit bigger to cover the edges of your cardboard.
Once you’ve cut them all out, wrap each of the pieces in the fabric (or wrapping paper, etc) and then glue them into place.
This also works great for bathroom toiletries, hair brushes, makeup, etc. Just don’t place it near the sink!
This entire project takes about 30 minutes and that’s if you’re taking your time and chatting on the phone or with a friend.
If you wanted to make one that is semi-waterproof for holding nail polish and other manicure supplies you could wrap it with colored duck tape (duck tape is a brand!) You can pretty much match ANY design or decor using that stuff, lol
new to this site and love this ideal..
I like this idea going to have to try and make.
I’m going to make this one for my desk at church to keep it organized.
