I absolutely love those magic erasers they sell in the little boxes of 6 for about $3, they work awesome for cleaning just about anything! But I cannot stand the price so I started researching what they are made of to see if I could make my own and guess what? They are really SIMPLE and CHEAP to make!
Magic erasers are actually just melamine foam which can be purchased on ebay or amazon for a lot less than the store bought stuff.
That’s right, in order to make your own all you need to do is purchase LESS expensive Pure melamine foam and cut it into the size you want it to be.
If you want to make it even MORE potent, you can boil 1 cup of water, remove from heat, add 3 Tbs borax powder, stir until dissolved.
Cool 10 minutes, dip the “homemade” magic eraser into the solution, and scrub anything you want to.
Keep in mind, the borax solution isn’t really necessary, it just adds a cleaning boost.
