Why spend a fortune on harsh chemicals that you have to worry about your kids or pets getting into? Here’s an effective, safe Citrus Floor Cleaner that works great on tile, hardwood and linoleum flooring.

Thankfully, this effective citrus floor cleaner does not require any rinsing, so for many, it’s a timesaver!

You’ll Need:
1 1/2 gallons hot water
2 tablespoons Dawn liquid soap (original)
15 drops orange essential oil
8-10 drops lemon essential oil or 1/4 cup lemon juice

Combine all of the ingredients in a mop bucket, and wash floor as you usually would. This blend does not need to be rinsed, but if you have hardwood floors you might wish to towel dry the floor as you go.

Some folks simply place a clean towel down on the damp floor and shuffle their feet as they mop.

We do this to prevent any potential streaking as it dries.

Make Ahead Concentrated Floor Cleaner

If you’d prefer to make a concentrated cleaner you can measure the ingredients into a 2-quart container, add 4 Tbs Dawn, 30 Drops of Orange Essential oil and 25 drops Lemon Essential oil.

Fill 2/3rds of the way full with water.

Cap and very gently tip the bottle back and forth to mix the ingredients.

To use, pour half of the mixture into a mop bucket, add 1 gallon of Hot water.
