Looking for a creative way to present homemade mixes, hard to wrap little gifts, stocking stuffers or gift cards? Check out these simple candy wrapper style gift boxes.
As far as craft box templates go, this one is one of the easiest to put together. If you have a large number of mixes, a basketful of these are absolutely adorable!

You’ll Need:
Scissors or Xacto Knife
Scrapbook Paper
Free Candy Wrapper Box Template

There are two ways to use the template we’ve provided.

Method 1:

First, print out the template on cardstock paper. This makes it heavy duty enough for multiple reuses; Then carefully cut it out. Place it on top of the heavy duty scrapbook paperthat design that you’ve chosen, trace the pattern and carefully cut it out. Here we opted to cut out the diamonds using an X-Acto craft knife. Be sure to place a cutting mat underneath to protect the surface you’re working on, it’s easy to go through.

Once the template has been completely cut out, scorethe dotted lines. As you can see, I didn’t have a scoring tool to use, so I opted to use a cake spatula instead.

Fold the ends of the wrapper like so:

Next, wrap the pieces together forming a square (or a triangle, depending on which shape you’d prefer).

Carefully add a line of hot glue to the open flap and hold it gently to seal it closed. When crafting, I generally prefer to use hot glue, it’s quick drying (nearly instant!), easy to use and I don’t have little kids around that might accidentally touch it. If you have kids or pets that have a tendency to get into your crafting items, you may want to use a glue stick or other adhesive.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around one end and tie it into place, securing the end closed. Fill it with the desired contents. This will hold a medium size crafting bag 3″ x 4″ (which is about 1/2 cup of mix).

Finish the wrapper off by tying a ribbon on the remaining end, closing it. These can be filled with wrapped hard candies, such as hershey kisses, homemade cocoa/ Hot Chocolate Mixes, homemade gourmet coffee mixes, dip mixes, etc. You’re only limited to your imagination!

The second method is to download the template and open it in your favorite editing program and add your OWN background & design, then print it out and follow the directions above for putting it all together.
