Show your support of hope and love in breast cancer research by displaying this lovely candy dish in your home. October is breast cancer awareness month, we honor those who are fighting, those who have won the battle, as well as to those that have lost their fight.

This jar pictured below is in honor of my grandmother, Barb Chapman. Currently in the United States, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2017, an estimated 252,000+ new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed.

My grandmother lost her battle, so in her honor I designed this flower pot candy dish that I display to remind myself and others in my home to be aware of the signs and symptoms and to have annual check-ups.

You’ll Need:
1 Flower Pot
1 flower pot base
1 knob (They have these in the craft section of walmart/target) for .59 each
1 Round vase (bought it at the dollar store)
2 shades of Pink Spray Paint (Whatever colors you desire)
Glue
Dimensional Stickers(optional!)
pink Ribbon or beads

Spray paint the flower pot light pink. Flip the base of the flower pot saucer over and spray paint that as well.

Let the pot dry (this varies depending on the brand of spray paint used). Ours took 30 minutes to cure.

While the flower part is drying, Paint the knob in a contrasting color, here I painted it a different shade of pink from the candy pot. Attach the knob to the saucer to make the “Top” of the candy jar.

Decorate by painting various designs. Here, I actually just attached 3 dimensional breast cancer ribbon stickers using a little dot of superglue.

Using a strong glue, attach the glass jar to the flower pot base. Let it dry completely and set overnight to cure.
