Create your own simple waterproof glass glue for adding labels to canning jars, gluing marbles and small glass items and more.
2 packets (1/2 ounce) unflavored gelatin
2 T. cold water
3 T. skim milk
several drops oil of cloves
In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Set aside to soften. Heat milk to boiling point and pour into softened gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add oil of cloves as preservative. Cloves may be omitted if you don’t plan to save the glue.
Makes about 1/3 cup
Uses: Great for adding labels to canning jars, gluing marbles, etc to jars
this is awesome! :party1:
I can really use this with the glass crafting I’m soon going to be doing. Thx for posting this!
it sounds great for adding labels & stuff.
but can you use this to glue glass back together & is it waterproof enough to keep the glass together with water in the glass container for some time without coming apart?
thank you, kydee
