Envelope Glue Recipe

Create your own easy lick and stick Envelope Glue. This non-toxic recipe is perfect for toddlers to create their own stamps, stickers, and envelopes.

6 tablespoons white vinegar
4 oz. unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon vanilla or wintergreen extract

Bring vinegar to a boil over med heat, Add gelatin and stir until dissolved. remove from heat, add extract. Brush on thin layer onto back of an envelope flap. Let dry. Store extra Glue in baby food jar or other glass container with lid. If glue hardens, place in pan of hot water for several minutes.

Store excess glue in a sealed container and melt again for future use by putting in a pan of warm water.

To use, apply it thinly on the back of the edge of the homemade envelope or on the backs of cut out magazine photos, etc. Allow it to dry. To use, simply dampen by licking (or applying a dampened sponge!).
