Quick Cookie Dough for 1 Craving Fix

Got a craving for cookie dough? When your sweet tooth kicks in and you don’t feel like baking, here’s a super quick fix to indulge in! This edible cookie dough craving fix is the perfect snack!

For whatever reason, RAW cookie dough is the one thing that I crave when I want something sweet. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly safe to consume raw eggs frequently found in the dough, so my sons and I came up with this delicious substitute!

What about the concerns of consuming Raw Flour?

Raw flour has made the news a few times over the years with concerns that it could potentially carry bacteria. Raw flour has been linked to cases of E. Coli. While this is extremely rare, those with immune issues or the very young or elderly may not like to consume raw flour at all, just in case!

Why take chances at all?

A better solution would be to heat the flour to an internal temperature of 160°F to ensure that any bacteria is killed off prior to adding it to your raw cookie dough recipe. To do this, simply measure the amount of flour needed for the recipe and place it in a glass dish  (a coffee mug works great) and put in the microwave.

Cook the flour for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds. Let it cool prior to adding the other ingredients.

However, with that in mind, here’s a way to quell your cookie dough craving in a healthy (er) way!

Alternatively, you could add various chopped candy bar pieces, Reese’s pieces, sprinkles or jimmies to your delicious edible raw cookie dough!

One Minute Peanut Butter Cookie Dough (Healthy Version)

You’ll Need:
1 (6oz) container Vanilla Greek Yogurt
2 Tbs Peanut flour (we use PB2 powdered peanut butter, you can get it on amazon here)
1-2 packets of Stevia
2-3 drops Vanilla Extract
1 Tbs Mini Chocolate chips

Stir the peanut flour into the yogurt, then add the remaining ingredients. This one tastes best if you freeze it for 5 minutes before consuming to give it the perfect cookie dough texture.

Eggless and Flourless Raw Cookie Dough

Here’s another very simple recipe that is both Eggless and Flourless, but still completely delicious with the perfect texture!

Cookie Dough Recipe

You’ll Need:
1 stick butter, room temp
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups oat flour** (see note)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cups chocolate chips

In a small bowl cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy. Add the oat flour and salt, beating until smooth, then fold in the chocolate chips.

This makes 4 hearty servings, so if you’d like, you can divide the dough, wrap it in wax paper and freeze the extra for
a quick and easy cookie dough snack anytime!

** Oat flour is simply old fashioned oats that are powdered using a food processor or blender. If you’re not sure how to make your own oat flour here’s a step by step tutorial (don’t worry, it only takes a minute to make!!).

By the way, if you love Cookie Dough ice cream, these make delicious additions to our homemade vanilla ice cream recipe here. Drop small bite-sized bits onto a plate or cookie sheet and place them in the freezer to harden, then add them to your favorite ice cream.

  1. If you don’t cool the flour down enough, it will melt the butter(or at least it happened to me).It will still taste good, just will be really goopy and looks a bit disgusting, like not quite smooth cake batter

Super easy and yummy. I subbed milk for water and heated the flour for 50 seconds. Very good, practically licked the bowl when I was done ?

    • This recipe is for Edible Cookie Dough only. It is not a recipe to make a single cookie, nor will the cookie come out if you attempt to bake the dough.

Oat flour can be purchased in most grocery stores now, at least here where I live in the MIdwest, for around $4 a bag.

I make most of my edible cookie dough recipes with it while subbing Truvia sweeteners for the regular sugars (I’m diabetic, so have to be mindful of the sweeteners used). Works very well.

I’ve also used coconut flour with great success, just using one Tablespoon less than the published recipes call for and adding a little more butter and milk (coconut flour tends to absorb moisture like crazy).
