Egg Nog Mix

Enjoy the creamy rich flavor of this highly anticipated Holiday Favorite, Eggnog. This simple make-ahead egg nog mix recipe offers a hint of nutmeg and requires no cooking to prepare. Surprisingly, no eggs are needed to achieve the rich flavor of traditional eggnog!

Instant homemade eggnog mix is a very simple combination of powdered milk, vanilla pudding, powdered coffee creamer, and nutmeg. To prepare a tasty nog in 2 minutes flat, combine one-fourth cup of eggnog mix with one cup each of milk and ice cubes. Blend and Enjoy!

Unlike traditional egg nog recipes, this mix can be transformed into a rich, delicious drink in with or without alcohol in two minutes flat, and you don’t have to worry about having refrigerator space or it spoiling.

Homemade Eggnog Mix II:

Combine ingredients, blending well to ensure they are fully mixed. To use, add 3-4 Tbs of mix per cup of cold milk. To be honest, this one just doesn’t have the same robust eggnog flavor as the one above, but it’s still worth sharing.

  1. sounds easy but does it really taste like the real thing? i’ll have to try it find out. i’ll feel like a fool for paying for the store version if it does.

    • I made this today. Has an egg nog flavor. But not as robust as store purchased. Store purchased is made with heavy cream or half and half. To boost the flavor you can make with the milk I mentioned and also add eggs when making. I enjoy egg nog so will keep the mix handy and just make with a different milk. This mixture is great as a coffee creamer.

  2. I’m not a fan of Buttermilk in any form. Either way I just might try this smaller version. I’m looking for an easy mix for sharing.

    Thanks!

    • That’s kind of strange, which recipe did you try, the big version or the small version? I made the small version using french vanilla pudding mix (jello brand) and added a pinch of cinnamon to it and when I blended it with ice cubes it tasted exactly like eggnog. What brand of eggnog do you tend to buy?

  4. Would anyone know how many cups are in the 3 quart box of powdered milk? I get the big Nido container of powdered milk for my hot cocoa mix.
    Thanks

  5. The small batch eggnog mix – is it 1 x 1/8 cup of powdered milk or 1 plus 1/8 cup of powdered milk. Not too clear.

Adding ice cubes when making homemade eggnog from a powdered mix serves to chill and quickly cool down the mixture. It helps maintain the desired temperature and ensures a refreshing and enjoyable drinking experience. Eggnogg is best served ice cold.
