You’ll Need:
1/4 cup butter, cut into pats
6 oz semi sweet choc chips

2/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla

Add the remaining ingredients, mixing until smooth.

Add up to 1/3 cup chopped nuts, if you prefer.

Lightly Grease the bottoms and sides of the muffin tins. Pour the batter evenly into each of the tins, filling them about half full.

Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 18-22 min.

While they are baking, spray the bottom of another muffin tin with non-stick spray.

As soon as they come out of the oven, Gently press the greased muffin tin into the cooked brownies, creating “cups”.

Let them rest 12-15 minutes.

Remove the pan, using a butter knife, gently cut around the edges inside to loosen any brownie that may be sticking to the pan.

Let them cool completely, then remove the brownie cups from the tins by sliding a fork in between the brownie and the pan and gently scooping them out.

just a note This method ALSO works using chocolate chip cookie dough in place of the brownie batter.

Fill with a scoop of ice cream, top with your favorite toppings such as homemade berry sauce, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, hot fudge sauce, peanut butter sauce, etc!

If you’re in a hurry and you don’t allow the brownies to cool, they WILL break into pieces when you try to remove them. They’ll still be tasty, but they won’t be pretty!

If you don’t happen to have a second muffin tin you can use silicone muffin liners that have been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray as we did here:

(The white balls are clay pie weights). This was one of those… “where did that pan disappear to” kind of days…
