Looking for something a little different for dinner? This marinade is packed with ginger, garlic and spices, yet low in carbs- perfect for those watching their waistlines!

You’ll Need:

* 1/3 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup oil, such as light olive oil or peanut oil
* 2 garlic cloves, minced
* 2 teaspoons five spice powder
* 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
* 1 tablespoon dry sherry

Combine all the ingredients & then pour over the following

* 3 lbs chicken, cut into small chunks.

Marinate for at least an hour.

Grill on kebabs, stir fry with fresh cut peppers or bake the pieces at 375F until cooked throughout.

Less than 1 carb per serving.

These are excellent served with fresh side salad, stir fried veggies (use a fresh batch of the marinade recipe for vegetables such as broccoli, snow peas, peppers, celery and onions). If you enjoy mushrooms, add these as well!

If you’re trying to watch your carbs but have kids in the house, make a side dish of steamed jasmine rice and steamed broccoli.

  1. This sounds Yummy and can be used on the South Beach diet.
    Wonder if the sherry can be replaced with chix stock/broth?

      Yes, It can, I tried it with low sodium chicken broth. I was worried about the extra salt and I found some canned broth on sale. This recipe is delish!
