Need a bit of realistic looking faux skin to add ghoulish looking wounds this Halloween? This extremely simple recipe will have you looking like a properly mangled victim in no time flat. . .
To get started brew some coffee or tea to match the skin tone you need. Add more or less tea bags for Caucasian skin tone, or use coffee for considerably darker skin tones.
How to Make Fake Skin for Wounds
You’ll Need:
1 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1 tbsp. boiling Tea or Coffee- to match your skin tone
1/4 tsp. liquid glycerin
Willing Victim
Hair Dryer *optional*
Combine the gelatin, water and glycerin, mix quickly.
Let the mixture cool just until it can be handled (literally seconds!) and then apply a 1/4-inch layer directly to your clean skin.
You’ll need to work quickly as this mixture hardens rapidly. You can rewarm it in the microwave if it solidifies too quickly. Be careful that you don’t apply it while it’s still hot!
See examples of it’s use here: Protruding Bone Effect or instant head gash effect.
