      i would not have even of thought of this! do you know how much cheaper is it to do this?

      This is a little confusing...Is the recipe for the heavy cream substitute: 3/4 milk, 1/3 cup butter, 8 oz low fat cottage cheese and 3 tablespoons non-fat powdered milk ?? The ingredients are separated and I'm confused. Thanks

      Please Read the first paragragh, it says there are a couple of substitute recipes for heavy cream.

      When in doubt, google!

      This is great to know that you have two substitutes to make the heavy cream. I haven't tried the cottage cheese and non fat powdered milk so will make it first. Thank you.

      Wow... this is awesome... I will tend to put off making a recipe sometimes because it calls for expensive heavy cream....plus never have a use for the extra left over...not sure about freezing it.
