  • Cocktail Sauce

    Cocktail sauce (also known as Marie Rose sauce) is cold condiment served with seafood, most notably, cocktail shrimp.

    In the USA the sauce most often consists of chili sauce or ketchup combined with horseradish, a touch of lemon juice or even Tabasco sauce.

    Across the pond in Europe, however, the sauce usually consists of a mayonnaise base with tomato sauce added to it.

    Here's our favorite throw together cocktail sauce. . .

    You'll Need:
    1 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup prepared horseradish
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    Dash of freshly cracked black pepper

    Blend Well & Serve with Chilled seafood, such as cocktail shrimp. If you prefer you cocktail sauce to have a little heat to it, add a couple dashes of Tobasco sauce and mix well.

    Super Kick Cocktail Sauce

    1/2 cup chili sauce
    1/2 cup ketchup
    3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
    2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
    1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

    Blend Well & Serve with Chilled seafood, such as cocktail shrimp

    Belgian Cocktail Sauce

    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 1/2 teaspoons ketchup
    1 1/2 teaspoons whisky
    2 drops Tabasco
    1 pinch fresh ground pepper

    Blend Well & Serve with Chilled seafood, such as cocktail shrimp

      I make this all the time..I also add in lemon pepper and a Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and Franks red Hot ..I like it spicy..It great on Oysters and Shrimp
