Thanks for sharing these Deweese, they are incredibly cute and perfect to add to our Halloween Party Eats List for this years bash. We’re also making rice krispie treat squares, then dipping the top 1/4 into colored chocolate and adding monster eyes to make little monsters.

I wanted to add that you can serve this in plasticware on a tray so people can just grab one and go. It makes it easier for the kids to get a serving and it looks great in the cups too.

There’s also homemade granola bars, homemade nutri-grain bars, hard boiled eggs or deviled eggs (if you have small cooler!), if you have a jar of peanut butter that’s about to run out- fill it with celery sticks!

Carrots & Dip, Yogurt Cups, Fruit Cups, oatmeal crème pies, etc.

We go on 2 per year, the best advice I can offer is to login regularly to check rates, they can drop to near nothing per person, we just booked a transatlantic trip for $43 per person, per day. You can’t eat out for that price! The least expensive line is Carnival, but Holland America has deals now and then too.

There is also a new site called travelzoo and if you have an open schedule you can in on some great deals dirt cheap!

Another scam that friends of ours told us about during their Europe trip- some countries will charge you triple for drinks if you sit down at a table instead of standing at the bar, so if you go into a place and you see people standing at the bar, you’d better ask before you seat yourself at a table. This is common throughout Europe.

I love this idea! I’ve visited several places, taken pictures and then when I got home discovered that my card had an error and lost all my photos. This would’ve been so nice to remember each little town that we visited.

I’ve been making one, I saved this photo and want to recreate the same garden using a couple broken terra cotta pots that I have in my greenhouse.

We also have a stump in the front yard that would make a great little fairy home.

Are you suppose to do something special with the maple syrup after it is cooled in order to put it in the batter?

You have to turn them into maple crystals like the recipe says.

in reply to: Butterfly Feeders #461096

I love this idea! I was looking for the hummingbird food recipe here on the site so I could get my feeders up today, I noticed they’ve been hanging around the last couple of days looking for them. I can’t wait to add a butterfly feeder too!

you’ve got to visit the challenge forum and look for the ones that still have the showing.

There’s 3 open challenges right now, but the facebook post said they’ll be closing today so you’d better hurry.

Does anyone have a really good copycat recipe for the seasoning packet that comes with Beef Ramen?

Beef Ramen – same as above but no ginger and add beef bouillon.
    1 Tbs onion powder
    1 Tbs Beef Bouillon
    1 Tbs garlic powder
    1 Tbs black pepper
salt to taste – makes enough to store at later use.

Chicken Ramen – same as above but no ginger or beef, add chicken bouillon
    1 Tbs onion powder
    1 Tbs Chicken Bouillon
    1 Tbs garlic powder
    1 Tbs black pepper
salt to taste – makes enough to store at later use.

    Shrimp Ramen –
    1 Tbs onion powder
    1 Tbs garlic powder
    1 Tbs black pepper
salt to taste – makes enough to store at later use.

boil shrimp in water for approx. 30 mins. Then add basic seasoning mix as listed above about 2 teaspoons or more as needed.

    Oriental ramen –
    1 Tbs onion powder
    1 Tbs ground GINGER
    1 Tbs garlic powder
    1 Tbs black pepper
salt to taste – makes enough to store at later use.
