Hello. I am trying to print an article but when I click on print, I don’t get the article, I get a message saying did you know? This content was taken from (without permission!) etc etc etc. BUT I am on the Budget101 site and am a register user. How to I get rid of this message so that I can print?

It sounds as though you may be visiting the site through a proxy server. What type of device are using (ipad, laptop, smartphone, computer desktop, etc)?

What Browser & Version Number are you using?

I think probably 6 weeks (??) now and suddenly I am getting messages, and I’m not allowed to leave a message using # 8 on the Contact us screen.

number #8 specifically is, “8. Questions or Content Support – have a question on a recipe, or tip, etc? perhaps you’d like to know where to find the ingredients.

simply register for free, login and post your question in the comments under the recipe or article or within the forum thread”

which means that one simply needs to login and hit reply to any post to leave a message or visit the tech support forum and leave a message. since that’s how you contacted us, i’m thinking that one is working for you. 😉

if you would like to modify your profile, click here.”

the reason you couldn’t view this one is because the page didn’t publish at the correct time due to a setting error and when it was shared on facebook, the facebook post notifying you it was there published before the actual recipe published. if you’re still seeing errors it’s because your computer or device cached the page and it’s reloading a cached page.

please feel free to stop back at the tech support forum if you have any other questions!

I looked through the faq’s and saw where a link can be included in signatures as long as it’s not a competitor’s site, etc., but that it needs to be an approved link. how do i go about getting my blog link approved? and is there a way to make clickable links in posts or signatures?

all signature links are considered advertising. those rates are available here.

The link that you are referring to that is permitted is located in your user profile in the user control panel (UserCP), which is accessible in the top right hand corner of every page and also in the bottom footer (left hand side) of every page. These links must be to a personal or family page/site/blog that does not sell any products or services. Any link that sells products or services is considered a business page and advertising rates apply.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Anyone else having trouble printing recipes? I am a newbie here and thought I was doing something wrong. The prompt said I needed Java installed in order to print.

I did that but no-go. Any advice ???

It was probably a caching error. Clear your cache & cookies and try again.

    Good afternoon!

I was attempting to view the Diabetic Mix Recipes and there seems to be a problem with the background covering the page ( if i try extracting the webpage for a specific diabetic recipe by pulling the html for the page and copying an address, it still shows up as though the background element is covering the rest of the page. 🙁 perhaps it’s just affecting the diabetic portion of the site?

i’m the it gal at a small company, and i work with our web page, so that’s why i described it as i did.

i’ll check back later, thank you!

Looking to download the Santa letter. Says invalid pdf.

i suspect that you are receiving this error because you do not yet have enough posts to use the downloads feature. this is only available to Active members.

are you clicking on the green download button on the santa letter download page (and not on the thumbnail pic of the santa letter) i just tried it and it appears to be working fine.

If so and you are still having issues, you may want to try a different browser, perhaps the browser is causing a corruption of the download. I just successfully downloaded the pdf in chrome, firefox and ie this morning after reading your post.

Here is a brief “how-to” for How to use the Favorites feature. It explains how to save favorites in all 3 sections of the site, as well as how to access them afterwards.

For Quick access you can always scroll down to the bottom of any page and click Manage Favorites/Subscriptions under the first column “usercp” options.

I ordered the ebook on Saturday. I was told that I would receive a link in about 24 hours to download the book. It is now Tuesday and I still haven’t received the link.

What can be done to rectify this problem?

I suspect your email address is incorrectly listed in your paypal account. The only eBook we had come through on the 10th returned the following error message:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: (truncated for privacy!)

550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient’s email address for typos or
    550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces.

In order for us to fix Your particular issue, please log in to your paypal account and provide us with the transaction number for your purchase so we can track it as the email address listed in your user account does not match any purchase email addresses in the paypal transactions.

And to prevent others from having this issue in the future.

The best way to prevent this issue for others in the future is for them to double check their email address in their paypal accounts Before purchasing an item requiring instructions to be sent to said address.

Every known case of non-receipt so far has been due to this Exact issue.

Unfortunately, we can only respond to the email address that we receive directly from paypal- if the account is not up to date & the email address is no longer in service, there’s very little we can do about it.

    To Avoid this Issue:

    A. Log in to your Paypal Account.
    B. Click on the Profile Button (top right hand side)

Look at the PRIMARY Email Address Listed for your Account. If it does not match the email address you expect to receive information to, than change it, as this is the address that paypal will release to us to send the eBook download details.

dvd-r/rw and dvd+r/rw are similar but generally non-interchangable formats. canon dvd camcorders only use dvd-r/rw discs.a “disc error” message after it attempts to read camcorders only use dvd-r/rw* or dvd-r dl discs

in reply to: Canon DVD Camcorder DC210 #458559

My advice would be to visit their page for this model, I’ve found it here for you:

    Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : DC210

Update the drivers and the camera’s Firmware. It sounds as though it’s lost a necessary file. Updating the firmware should stop the error.

in reply to: Canon DVD Camcorder DC210 #458533

Yes, it sounds like you may have forgotten to finalize the previous disc, which leaves the firmware of the canon in limbo, rendering it unable to do anything else.

BTW, In order to finalize your disc the dc210 must be plug into an outlet even if your battery has a full charge.
once you finalize the disc it should allow other discs to be read.

make sure you are in view mode -not record mode…then…press the func button on the side of the camera -you should then notice the finalize option -among others -navigate to the actual finalize command using the joystick, then press it down and let it work its magic – try not to move it until it is finished. after it is finished -it can be removed and will be recognized by a dvd player, recorder or drive that is compatible with this type of disk in the first place, apparently, this camcorder records video to the .vro file type -so be sure any video editor/converter/player software on your computer recognizes this file type.
