This is the thing…I don’t know what kind of indestructible rock is coming through our water, but it defies CLR. With a ton of scrubbing. and bon ami.

and vinegar. and fiberglass cleaner. and ceramic stovetop cleaner.

and baking soda. I work in a science dept., and it’s been (half jokingly) suggested that I try picric acid. I can get it ‘pretty good’ which I guess is going to have to do.

In warm weather I’ll try taking them off and laying them down so I can pool stuff to sit on them without drying.

I tried the cleaning solution. I sprayed it on last night, let it sit overnight, and washed it off this morning. It works great on the soap scum areas, and cleaned the tile well, but alas, the hard water scale is still left behind.

ugh. At this point I am thinking that I will have to wait until warmer weather, take the doors down, lay them down on the table outside, soak them & then scrub forever. bummer.

Thanks. I had to wait until I got more vinegar, we were out. I’m going to try this today, and will post results.

It’s not soap scum that’s the issue, though, it’s the mineral component of our water, so I’m hoping…

If you wanted to get really fancy, you could make a tutorial that shows people around the site, and on the front of the home page make a “Newbies Start Here” button to take people to it.

I plan on participating in our weekly Masters Swim Workout, in addition to my usual lap swimming, which will be at least 3x per week. I also plan on cutting out all wheat products, except for 1 treat per month. I will walk every day.
