  • in reply to: Salad in a Jar #464973

I find jars hard to eat from but I guess that’s because I like to pick things over and eaten certain parts of my salad first. I use inexpensive rubbermaid (maybe they’re ziploc brand??) containers and when I put the dressing on I just put the top back on and shake it until the dressing covers the whole salad.

It’s a little easier to eat out of than the jar, but takes up more room in the fridge.

Thanks, I was looking for something I could drop into the crockpot this morning using a chunk of venison I found in the back of the freezer last night! I can’t wait to see how this turns out.

Does anyone here use Mypoints? I’ve just claimed by 2nd Buffalo Wild Wings

I’m curious how many points you needed and how long it took to earn the card. I had a mypoints and after a month of doing surveys, watching videos that ate up all my bandwidth/mifi, etc I still didn’t earn shit for points.

It was a waste of time for me, wasn’t worth the effort it took.

A note, be sure you don’t use regular grout, use the Giltsa wood flour that was recommended because the wood with shrink a little bit as it ages and the giltsa weathers much better.

here’s another photo tutorial that is step by step that can help.

    Here’s the pics…

This one is so Awesome, one of my favorites because it literally only takes 5 minutes to throw together. This is what it looks like all done! During the holidays I add 1 Tbs finely chopped red bell pepper for color.

This is really easy to put together, you can create eyeballs out of construction paper to give them a little more personality.

If you can’t find modge podge, there’s actually a recipe for it here on the site:

I think that you would still have to apply a clear acrylic sealant afterwards though to ensure that sticky kids hands didn’t cause it to wear off.

This is awesome I cant wait to try it out, thanks

I make this all the time, but I don’t add butter.

    Rhubarb Dump Cake
1 pound rhubarb, cut into 1/4 inch pieces (between 3 and 4 cups)
    1 cup white sugar
    1 (3 ounce package) strawberry jell-o
    1 package yellow cake mix

    layer like it says above.
