we did this one for dinner the other night, I found a package of hamburger buns in the freezer that had been “forgotten” so we turned them into toasted garlic herb parmesan bread to go with it. Very filling & quite tasty too.

If you’re doing a party for ADULTS, such as a white elephant party you can use the mini-bottles of booze and wrap them all up. Also, If you want to make it even harder, alternate with sections of BUBBLE WRAP along with the Saran Wrap.

This is such an adorable craft idea. I was thinking of making a smaller version for indoors, so we’re using luan which is a much lighter & thinner piece of wood. We’re putting ours to the left of the christmas tree. Thank you for sharing this, we love it!

I didn’t know Paypal can accept credit card payments. Definitely will take note of that. What we’re currently considering is the online credit card processing

I’d have to agree with Emy, I also prefer Paypal or Authorize.net. I very, very rarely use anything else. Aside from that, they’re dirt cheap compared with other companies.

    What to look for?

Reliability, Security, Expense/Cost for your business, Interchange Plus Pricing, PCI Compliance

Basically, Stay away from any company that you cannot find a crapload of reviews about & make sure it has a decent rating in the BBB.

    Good Luck!

I cannot remember where I read it but a long time ago I read somewhere if you put tin foil formed into a ball in your dryer as your clothes dried, it would get rid of the static.:laundry:

That is true, it does work. Here’s the caveat.. you don’t actually need a dryer sheet if you avoid OverDrying your clothes (which is bad for them anyway). Try drying your clothes for 20 minutes, then add 10 minutes, if needed. You won’t need a dryer sheet because there won’t be any static to absorb.

I just used my new Laundry Sauce I made today and it doesn’t have much of a smell. Maybe I could add some EO on a rag and throw it in there while it’s drying?

There are a couple choices- you can add scent to the dryer if you like, I use a tiny piece of cheesecloth dampened with with water then add a couple drops of EO (thieves is a great choice for this time of year).

Keep in mind you want it diluted or you could end up with oil spots on your clothes!!

Another option is to add EO directly to your laundry sauce when you make it. I’ve had very good luck with the Lemongrass EO (Young living, of course).

Add 15-20 drops per jar just prior to whipping. I have not tested other scents for laundry other than lavender so I can not attest to whether or scents may or may not create a chemical reaction with the borax, washing soda or fels. Those are the scents I HAVE tried. LOL.

    PS. Welcome to the site!

Help! Please help. I am a new, registered member (Lynn16). I can’t read articles, which is why I joined. Can’t figure out how to post even. Except to reply to an already dead one.
When I try to read an article I get a pop-up saying it will re-direct me to or I can press , then back to my page, then back to the pop-up. It does this over & over. Please help.

Lynn, we would need you to post a screenshot of the error you are receiving. It sounds like you may have a virus though as we don’t have any popups at all on our site of any kind.

If you are unsure of how to post a screenshot, you can email one to diy @ budget101.com (with the spaces removed) and someone will help you.

No, never heard of it, but you can use Trip advisor to check out reviews for various hotels/lodgings in that area, it will display the price. When you find one that you’re interested in, Check the local groupon for that area to get deals on the hotels.

We don’t pay for hotels or lodging ever when we travel. We use the Hilton American Express card to pay our regularly monthly bills & immediately pay it off. We earn points and use the points to pay for our hotel.
