I thought I’d add the obvious here- for those that are looking to reduce their sodium intake you can use the Homemade cream of mushroom soup mix in this recipe, be sure to reconstitute it first.

    Cream of Mushroom here:

Also, here is the recipe for making your own copycat onion soup mix, again, great for controlling the sodium levels:

I found the cash piggy, clicked on it, and then filled out some forms. I never had a box that I could click on, and now I don’t even know if I won something or not. Is there some place that a record of your winnings/rewards are kept? Can someone please explain to me either where/how to find out if I won, or if I did something wrong and how to avoid doing it again if I were to win something else.

Congratulations, you found a Hidden Entry form for the Kitchenaid Mixer Drawing.

The forms show at the top what you found, whether it’s an entry for the kitchenaid mixer or an instant gift.

The boxes only appear for Amazon instant wins.

I checked the entries for the Mixer and it would appear that you last entered yesterday at 8:53 pm (EST). Congrats on your entry & Good Luck, the drawing is February 1st!

Does the pan need to be greased or buttered before adding the dough?

I usually do, my pans are older and things tend to stick otherwise.

Um, No. . we’re very picky about what sites we submit our personal information to and that one isn’t one that I would deem, “Safe.”

I pretty much refuse to submit my personal info to sites hosted with GoDaddy. They cost all of $10 to run and are usually throwaway/spam harvesting sites.

I’m a Senior and retired, I am on Food stamps, they are only $135 a month. I am also on Social Security, that almost covers my Mortgage payment, my house will be paid off in about 2 years. I am very worried about my future, my sons do help out with some of my expenses but I don’t want to keep depending on them, as they have a life of their own. I wonder, what should be the average amount a Senior spends on groceries, I am very frugal I make my own bread, use only fresh veggies and fruit, and don’t eat red meat. I never use convenience foods, I get around by public transportation and the Lift car service when I come home from the grocery store. I don’t know how much more I can do to cut down my expenses.. I tried growing my own veggies in a container a couple years ago, but I wasn’t very successful. Any Advice I will appreciate!

It sounds like you’re already doing quite a bit to reduce your expenses.

Where do you live? (City, state)

There may be resources around you that you’re not aware of, such as Farmers Markets, co-ops, Aldi stores, etc that can help reduce your expenses. Where do you tend to shop for your groceries?
