1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 Tbs canola oil
2 Tbs chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp pepper
2 cans (10oz each) diced tomatoes & chilies, undrained
1 can (15 1/2oz) chili starter (such as Bush’s Traditional Chili Starter)
Toppers (Optional): shredded cheese, chopped onion, sour cream
In large skillet, cook steak & onion in oil over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Sprinkle with seasonings. In 5qt slow cooker, combine tomatoes & chili starter.
Stir in beef mix. Cover & cook on low for 6-8 hrs or until meat is tender. Serve with cheese, onion, & sour cream if desired.
