i have also seen this recipe/idea. i haven’t tried it, but from what i
understand, ziploc has recommended against this practice since their bags
(and probably all such similar bags) are not intended to be heated to the
temperature required to cook eggs. i’ve also read that some plastics, when
heated, can cause carcinogenic chemicals to seep into the food.

it’s obvious that people have tried this and enjoy it. i’m just putting out
this caveat for those who wish to do some homework. for me, even though it
seems like a fun idea, i’ll just make omelets the old-fashioned way.

course, for me, scrambled eggs are just as good! 🙂
