½ c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. vanilla 1 c. milk 2 eggs 2-1/2 c. self-rising flour
In a mixer, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add milk and eggs. Gradually beat in flour. Beat at high speed until smooth. Pour into a greased and floured cake pan. Cook at 350 degrees until golden brown (about 30-35 minutes for 2 round pans). Frost with favorite frosting.
