We filled last year and it took 4 months for discharge…and then the people still called us….and sent us letters that they were going to take legal actions against us…everything we got we sent to our lawyers…..and we have even gotten money back from the companies…they think that you are stupid or something….that if they continue to call you and sent you threatening letters that you will pay anyway…
the worst is Wells Fargo…..we have gotten $2000 from them….since we were discharged in August of last year….thy sent us papers that looked like legal court documents…our lawyer took them to the courts and then were not only found in contempt of court 3 times with us they had to pay us fee for the anguish that they caused….they have even tried to foreclose on our house…and when we demanded a court appearance for the attacks their lawyer didn’t even know anything about what they were doing and that they had not provided him with any of the requested documents….my dh just went yesterday to another meeting with the courts about the house thing and the judge told wf lawyer that he has had enough of their behaviors…and if it comes back in then he will find for us in the amount due on the house double….that means if wf gives us any more problems they will have to pay the full amount of the house and also give us the equivalent in fines….
not to say that this will happen with any one…but it helps to have a lawyer to take care of the harassment of the creditors in a bankruptcy……
