Hey guys! I thought I’d start a thread where everyone could tell us what they got for Christmas!

      So I’ll start:
My wonderful hubbie got me one of those heated foot bath things, the DVDs of the tv series “Christy,” a wonderful old Sandra Dee movie that I had been wanting called “If A Man Answers,” some wonderful Bath & Body Works things (to go with my foot bath), and a wonderful new warm bath robe. (I guess I had sort of a “spa” feeling going with the things I asked for for Christmas! 🙂 Proud to say that Hubbie is learning from me.

      – He got the footbath with a coupon & the Bath & Body Works stuff (including the robe) on sale! I’m so proud!

my other half gave me the money for the breadmachine I’ve been wanting and some of those wonderful coupons where he does stuff I don’t want to do even included him painting my toenails!!! So I got a breadmachine and with the leftover money I got a rice cooker/steamer. My son’s gf gave me a crockpot.

sounds great! my hubbie is still afraid to buy me kitchen appliances for christmas. he’s been taught (by me – before we got married) that you shouldn’t give a woman things like a vacuum cleaner or pots and pans for christmas or birthday unless they are specifically requested.

🙂 now even if i specifically ask for something for the kitchen, he will check a second time & ask me, “is it ok for me to give that to you for christmas?” he’s so cute!

I think that is why he gave me the money to get it. Even though I have been saying over and over and over again I wanted one LOL That way he could say I gave you money instead of I gave you something for the house. With the kitchen stuff though it makes it easier on me when fixing the things he likes so I really dont consider those the same as “house presents”

i agree! i love to cook, so buying me a cooking gadget is like buying someone who loves to read a book or someone who loves to play ball a basketball. to me, cooking is like a hobbie because i enjoy trying new recipes, etc.

but we have to appreciate those sweet husbands of ours that want to make sure they give us something we will like. 🙂

I didn’t get anything as fancy as you did. No complaints though-my boys and hubby all gave me the caring coupons. There were about ten from each of them for doing specific things around the house to help me out.

      Priceless.

My wonderful hubby made me a clothes drying rack (very nice) and my d made me ornaments that she decoupaged (spelling) old pictures of us together in 🙂 I love this post.

We gave each other a practical gift-gas logs for the fireplace. Due to health and age, we just don’t want to fight with firewood anymore. They can be lit manually in case of power outage for a heat source.

Really throws out some BTUs. Ooooh, toasty feet!

My finace and I did our gift exchange before Thanksgiving. He gave me this laptop (He got it for free at work) and I gave him an atomic clock that tells the weather (I got for free using a coupon).

From my mil and fil, i received: 2qt. Crock pot, roasting pan, spice rack, mixing bowls and chocolate fountain (I think she wanted this, so she gave it to me)
From my son: Martha Stewart Cookies Cookbook
From my boss: Digital meat thermometer and roast rack (Took back and got a store credit)
From my GMIL: Waffle Maker and earrings

So I think that they all knew that I’ve gotten into cooking this year. I still plan on buying a 5 or 6.5 qt Crock pot, as the 2qt is only good for fondue and appetizers.

My DH got me a food processor which I never dreamed of getting and so excited to finally have one! My sister got me a chocolate melting thing to coat candies, pretzels, fruit- would of never bought one but we actually use it quite a bit! I got slippers, gloves& hat, scarf set and a book the kids made with lots of stories and pictures about our trips this last year.

My hubby got me a Kitchen aid mixer. I was so excited!!! I have always wanted one.

It sits proudly on my counter top and I polish it nearly every day (because I use it nearly every day). Now I can try all of the great recipies I’ve been filing away.

My mother-in-law gave me a Kitchen Aid Mixer too! It was a combined Christmas-Birthday gift (because my birthday is Christmas Eve.) I was so excited too! Its Green Apple colored!

I’ve already used it a bunch to make different kinds of cookies & truffles. (Haven’t used it yet for anything but desserts, but I’m looking for some recipes. I make cookies & save a few for me & Hubbie & give the rest to the ladies who work in my apartment complex’s office.

They said I should start my own bake shop. I thought that was a pretty awesome compliment!. If you try any great recipes for your mixer, please pas them on to me!

Sounds like we all had a very blessed Christmas.
From hubby I got a Swiffer Sweep n Vac -been wanting one to try and control dog hair daily, a pair of shoes – I did pick them out, a Rumba wrap and electric curlers since I decided to let my hair grow into a new style that won’t require haircuts every 6 weeks.
From daughter I got a new instant read thermomator, gripped at thanksgiving because mine wasn’t working right and a new robe.

(soon to be former)DIL and granddaughter got H and me a picture with a saying on it. My son, the king of prograstination gave me a kiss and a hug. Planned to do his shopping Christmas eve but had an emergency come up.

Didn’t matter to me, just worry that he’s got a lot to learn, wife used to do all the shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc. now that they are divorcing, he’s in for a wake up call.
All in all a pretty good Christmas at our house.

Well being it was a tight Christmas…we got each other a blender and a hand mixer…uch needed in our house!! The kids got me some beautiful pink slippers, pink breast cancer bracelet, a pink basket, and some pink lotion 🙂 My friends kids gave me a jacket, pink bracelet, and a spaghetti spoon. My friend Mo got me a nice pair of boots.

My friend Janice gave me some beautiful Christmas ornaments (she made them herself) for my tree a beautiful cross stitch pattern with purple flowers and a set of embroidery pillow cases that I have half way completed. My friend Tonia gave me two pairs of beautiful gloves that she stitched additional ornamental yarn on (gorgeous!!), two sets of bath beads, an angel she crocheted that I put my plastic bags in. But the best I believe is the love my family gives me everyday and the friendship that my friends give me on a daily basis!!

      Thank you!!! 🙂

DH bought me an an arogrow wich he worked overtime to buy me and the new errogon book. I am sooo happy. Plus i got all kinds of gifts from holiday swap-bot swaps.

The mixer posts make me think of my aunt. her sibling got togather this year and got her a refurbished kitchen aid mixer. She cryed.

i came upon her in tears with the box. She explained she had always wanted one. It was nice to see her so happy!

Unfortunantly I was sick through the holiday so I dident get to see my family on x-mas eve and I spent the day in bed and had my gifts deliverd by dh 🙂

I got the “Wreck this Journal” book from my in-laws, a sparkly fish-scale ornament from my son, and chocolates & a new-to-me DS game from the dh for Yule.

My parents were kind enough to fill my cupboards, fridge, and freezer from the local discount grocery store as my combination Christmas/birthday present. Lady bless them, I haven’t had to buy anything but milk from then till now.

I got the greatest gift ever, my entire family minus “two” kids was here! Was it hectic? Oh heck ya!

But it was great with all the kids, and grandkids, and for once, they didn’t even argue LOL. Oh and I also received a really warm and toasty pair of Microfleece Jammies. This from my youngest daughter who knows that even in 70 degree weather I freeze.
