cool rooms or temps slows the growth but won’t stop it .. think spring weather and late fall planting .. make sure they have sunlight ..
if you have really bad cold snap shut the curtains at night and bad daylight weather (a few days won’t kill them)
as for the cat close the doors
if you like sprouts try doing some of them in the kitchen on the counter
