2 packages of Hot Dogs
27 Hot Dog Buns
13 Hamburger buns
Freeze the buns & dogs for later use (or if you don’t have space in the freezer, keep the hot dogs in the top back of your fridge until close to their sell by date, then wrap the dogs individually and put in ziploc in freezer until ready to use; buns can be put in freezer in the plastic bag they came in).
When you are ready to use them:Buns can be used as rolls for sandwiches. Tuna salad, egg salad, pbj, hogies, etc. are all good for the hot dog buns. Sloppy Joe’s, grilled/melted cheese, lunch sandwiches are all good on the hamburger buns.
Dogs can be put in other food. Baked beans & hot dogs (“beanie-weenies”), mac & cheese w/hot dogs, cut into 1/2 or 1/3s and put in those fridge mini-croissants and baked inside w/slice of cheese, franks N corn bread casserole (see allrecipes.com for the recipe), etc. — check out supercook.com for more ideas.
Hope this helps you!Stephanie
