KeymasterMaya, this happened to me with a 3 wick Hunter Green candle on White
carpet! It was new carpet and I was mortified! I got it all out! What I did was to blot up as much as I could while it was still wet.
Then I used a dull butter knife to gently scrape off the excess wax.
Then I took one of my husbands old white T-shirts and laid it on the wax
and then plugged in my iron and turned it to Polyester and then kept
ironing over the shirt. The shirt absorbs the wax. You may need more
than one shirt or white rag or towel.Keep turning the cloth over so you
don’t iron the wax back into the carpet. I would not use a paper towel
because too much heat may go through it and burn or melt your carpet. After you have removed as much of the wax as possible. Let the carpet
cool and then use Resolve or some other carpet cleaner and clean the
spot well.Good Luck! I know how you feel!
