One of our favorite potluck dessert treats is to fill waffle cones with yogurt, layered with sliced berries or fruits (blueberries, strawberries, fresh diced peaches & nectarines, etc). Then Freeze them. They make wonderful healthy desserts or snacks. Also, if you have cheaper quality cones you can chocolate coat the inside first, not as healthy but way tastier!
Add chopped nuts for variety too.To keep your cones upright in the freezer, place a cooling rack on the bottom of the freezer and set your cone tip in the cooling rack square. Just be careful when you lift them out not to snap off the bottom of the cone. You can freeze about 36 cones this way But it takes up most of the freezer shelf.
This one isn’t great for picnics because they’re hard to transport all at once, but it’s wonderful if you have a gathering coming to your own house.
