ALL urine breaks down to ammonia. In ancient Rome, urine was collected from the
public restrooms, let turn to ammonia, for cleaning wool clothing. In America
pre-colonization, the Native Americans used urine let turn to ammonia to cure
      hides into leather.

In still other countries it was used for setting colors
      when they dyed fabrics.

When the ammonia gets high in a fish tank the fish die. Where does the ammonia
      come from? The fish urine.
