      I got the following recipe from the budget101.com site and was wondering if anyone has used it and what they might suggest is a “mild detergent”. do you think it means something like Dreft or Woolite (that you use in the washing machine) or somethingelse? I have a filthy couch and would love to try something homemade like this.

      any ideas anyone? any other recipes you know of?

      upholstery cleaner

      1/2 C. mild detergent
      2 C. boiling water

      Mix; let cool until it forms into jelly. Whip with a hand beater for a good stiff foam. Test solution on an out-of-sight spot before you apply all over.
