For the past too years my kids have signed up for the Unicef collection at Halloween. Since our kids are a bit older and dont trick ot treat when we hand out candy and see the parents we ask them for a donation. My kids then send the money to Unicef and they feel very good about helping somone in need.
My friend has younger kids so she takes them out and instead of taking the candy her kids will ask for some spare change to add to their box and they send it in also. I love doing this!!
