      The trip over to the other countries is what will cost you the most-

      the flight, cruise, etc.

      Aside from that, you can save money by buying food at grocers wherever

      you are, knowing the language is a perk for that, as well as by staying

      in smaller out of the way places- hostels are great for this, as they

      are often dirt cheap. The upside- saved money. The downside- sharing a

      room with 1 or 2 (or more) strangers.
