Living single can be a challenge when it comes to being frugal. Milk is only cheap when you buy it by the gallons. To save from going sour I buy a case of 24 16 ounce bottles of water and freeze milk in the empties. This takes 8 sixteen ounce, (2 cups), bottles to use over and over again with replacements on the side. Milk freezes beautifully with no change in the taste. Just remember to keep one thawed and one thawing in the fridge at all times. A milk ring will form around the fill line. This can easily be reached for cleaning with a doubled pipe cleaner. I buy craft size pipe cleaners by the 100 ct pack…cheap. This tip is especially great when milk is on sale!
