My favorite side dish is a little different from some. It is my grandmother’s recipe so hope you all enjoy.
Fruit Salad
1 can diced pineapple/drained
2 pound of red apples diced
2 pounds of green grapes sliced in half
4 to 5 ripe bananas sliced (use reserved pineapple juice to soak bananas until ready to mix with rest of fruit)
1 cup chopped walnuts
mayo & sugar to taste.
mix all fruit in a bowl.
mix mayo & sugar to desired sweetness. Don’t make too much of dressing as the fruit has natural juice. No real measurements as it is made to fit your own families size.
I usually start with 1/2 cup of mayo and add sugar to taste.
