Is teriyaki baste and glaze just a teriyaki sauce? I have not seen it in my area…Thx.

if you look in the section of your grocery store where the teriyaki sauce and soy sauce are found, you’ll see items like teriyaki marinade, ginger sauce, etc. as you know, teriyaki and soy are rather thin, so you want something that sticks or coats well! so look for one of the marinades.

just because it says marinade doesn’t mean that’s it’s only use;-) if you don’t find a teriyaki (I apologize, I should have mentioned something in notes;-) marinade, make your own. 1 tbs + 1 tbs tomato paste = 2 tbs marinade or glaze. I use ketchup or chili sauce in the above recipe for flavoring.

speaking of diverse ingredients…I made egg rolls with some leftover chicken from another recipe for lunches and since I was out of duck sauce and Chinese mustard, I used a ginger marinade and sauce that was in the fridge for dipping. yu-u-umm!
