      3 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
      1/2 cup suger
      2 eggs
      1/2 tsp. salt
      1/2 stick butter
      1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
      1/2 cup milk, more or less

      Beat first four ingredients together. Add butter and vanilla. Whip in enough milk to make mixture creamy. Pour into a 9×13 baking dish and set aside while you mix topping.

      Topping:
      1/2 cup soft butter
      3/4 cup brown sugar
      1/2 cup self-rising flour
      3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

      Mix buter and sugar, add flour and nuts, mix well. Crumble this mixture over the potatoes and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.

      Note: sometimes I make extra topping for this because that is my favorite part.
