This is truly a “DUMP” recipe. My family loves it. Keep in mind, there are 6 of us, so this make a large amount.
Dump all these ingredients into your crock pot.
2 lbs. stew meat (we use venison, but beef is goo too)
1 can green beans, drained
1 can sliced carrots, drained
1 can Nibbles corn (our favorite). There is very little water in Nibblets, so I don’t drain them.
Potatoes, some times I use 2 small or one large can of whole New Potatoes, sometimes I peel and cut up fresh potatoes.
Whatever I have on hand.
1 can green peas, drained
1 Large can + 1 Small can tomato sauce.
That’s it. Just cook it on high for 4-6 hours. I work part time so I can put it on before I leave and it’s done when I get home.
I put my crock pot on “Keep Warm” until everyone else gets home. If you will be gone all day, cooking the stew on low for 8 hours or more should be OK.
