      For those of you that like shortcuts…

      Sunday Roast
      4-6 lb chuck or rump roast
      1 pkg brown gravy mix
      1 pkg au jus mix
      1 pkg ranch salad dressing mix
      1 pkg Italian salad dressing mix
      2 cups water
      2 tbs corn starch
      4 tbs cold water

      Place roast in crock pot. In a bowl stir together contents of all 4 pkgs. Sprinkle mixture over roast. Pour water around the roast and cover with lid.

      Cook on high for 8 hours, but all crock pots cook differently so make sure to that meat is completely cooked — 150-175°, depending on preference.

      To make gravy…Drain all of the crock pot juices into a medium pan. Bring to a boil. In a small bowl whisk together cornstarch with cold water.

      Once to a boil, slowly pour in cornstarch mixture while whisking briskly. Let it thicken then remove from burner and serve. Serve with mashed taters and veggies, if desired.

      Serves 8-12 (or 4 with leftovers;->)
