it is called frozen assets; your best bet money wise for wrapping foods in is butcher paper or freezer paper; far more effective & cheaper in long run to use than ziplocks; easy to use to; when wrapping multiple items (i buy family packs as cheaper tho by myself) i tear off freezer tape (other tapes can be used as well) & put one end on oven handle door; then I tear off pieces of the paper aprox size am wrapping with; when all stacked in 1 pile I mark with pen the name of item ie: chicken, or thighs, etc & the DATE; you can easily free in jars, plastic containers, like your mayo jars, butter containers, etc; to freeze hamberger patties individually or strawberries simply put on cookie sheet individually; once frozen, put into containers, etc; there method is cook one day, eat for a month! great site!

Date: Saturday, July 5, 2008, 12:13 amdo you know the name of the yahoo group?it’s seems like i waste so much food because it ends up in the trash.i try to freeze the left overs if not eaten within 1-2 days but it seems like they get freezer burned most of the time within 1-2 months.I don’t know what I’m doing wrong,I wrapped the food in foil, plastic freezer ziploc sometimes multiple times.I would like to preserve fruits and vegetables especially.
